A Video First: “Cape Elizabeth: 1962”

I recently joined an online forum for writers and visual artists sponsored by The Woven Tale Press. One of the members shared a short video she’d made to promote one of her short stories. Her video turned out well, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I wrote “Cape Elizabeth: 1962” years ago, but it remains one of my favorites. I hope you like the video version!

  1. A wonderful first video and a mesmerising poem performed with a great voice, Liz! As much as I love reading poetry, listening to it is always so much better in my mind. 😊

  2. I LOVED this video, Liz. Your efforts and time taken you create this profound poetry reading is very much appreciated. Visual poetry is powerful, especially in our age of quick reads. Your photos and words capture our attention and draw us into your reflection.

      1. Poetry is a language that helps us understand our place and relevance in time. I am reading poetry aloud these days. Even if no one hears me speak, I hear my voice which brings a clarity to words.

  3. Liz, thank you for showing us what can be done—with words, with voice, with visuals, with technology. You’ve painstakingly assembled a piece with powerful impact, and I appreciate your stepping out ahead of the crowded internet world to provide something that inspires all of us to spin our stories in new ways. Kudos!
